Bonding block soles and styrene rubber

Soles made of leather fiber and wear-resistant synthetic rubber compositions (such as styrene) - uncommon before applying glue, if necessary, requiring ruffling of the long edge, removing dust, gluing the skin with polychloroprene or polyurethane glue, spreading 2 times glue 12-14% concentration). When the adhesive film is activated on the rated soles, the level of warming up is felt!

Soles made of microlite material (microporous rubber) - roughening (rather coarse), dust removal, gluing is carried out using polychloroprene or polyurethane adhesives, spreading 2 times.

As a primer, it is recommended to use specialized products, such as high-penetrating polyurethane primer ROSER 760.

When degreasing soles equipped with a leather welt, contact of solvents with the welt should be minimized.

Leather welt (especially small sections) is subject to drying out and further cracking during prolonged contact with an aggressive environment. The choice of adhesive components is reasonable to carry out taking into account the tasks to be solved in production. Under current conditions, the market offers a sufficient selection of adhesives and related reagents with the widest range of capabilities. In any case, you should carefully study the technical cards for the adhesive used and adhere to the requirements for the mode of application of a particular adhesive.
