Tunit (Leatherboard Sole, KV) – a type of block sole made from leatherboard sheets. It is a mixture of vulcanized rubber, recycled petroleum, a vulcanizing agent, and mineral additives.



Types of Leatherboard
  • Summer (3mm thick) – smooth, tread relief is formed by embossing or laser processing.
  • Demi-season – leatherboard with a pre-made tread, 3.5mm thick.
  • Demi-season with welt – has an attached welt that protects shoes from moisture.
  • Summer with welt – the welt serves a decorative function.


Pros:
  • Lightweight material, comfortable for prolonged wear.
